Carol Hollenshead Award for Promoting Equity

The Carol Hollenshead Award for Excellence in Promoting Equity and Social Change is designed to honor University of Michigan staff, students or faculty members whose sustained efforts have resulted in greater equity. Nominations are being solicited for the first award, to be given Fall term 2011.

Nominees may be individuals or groups who have addressed inequities in the University community or beyond, including inequities in regard to gender, race, sexual orientation, ability, or other identities. Nomination forms and complete information are now available.  Nominations are due September 16, 2011.

This award honors Carol Hollenshead’s twenty-year tenure as the director of the Center for the Education of Women and her commitment to promoting equity and social change.
