Virtual Drop-in Study Day & Mindfulness Sit

It’s the end of the semester and CEW+ is providing a virtual community space to help you finish the year off strong. On
Wednesday, December 9th from 9:00 am- 4:30 pm, students are invited to drop in and take advantage of our virtual study space and intentional activities designed to help you destress and focus. Feel free to join us for the whole day, or come and go as works best for you. Our study space provides an opportunity to study independently but not in isolation.

Join us to connect with other students, enhance academic planning skills, practice mindfulness meditation and be entered into a raffle. There will also be a social hour with an opportunity to have lunch together virtually from 12:45-1:15 pm so have your brown bag ready! 

Feel free to drop in to take advantage of goal-setting and planning sessions at the start and mid-point of the day, or stay all day to get some work done. Either way, CEW+ is here to support you! Encourage your friends to study together virtually, or just hang out and meet other students from different departments in a relaxing and welcoming space.

  • 9:00 -9:15 am:  Guided Mindfulness Practice – Breathing
  • 9:15-9:45 am:  Creating Goals – How to plan to get the most out of your day today
  • 9:45-10:45 am:  Work Block 1
  • 10:45-11:00 am:  Mental Break / UM Student Raffle *
  • 11:00-12:00 pm:  Work Block 2
  • 12:15-12:45 pm:  Midweek Mindfulness – Extended Guided Mindfulness Practice
  • 12:45-1:15 pm:  Lunch Break & optional breakout room check-in
  • 1:15-1:45 pm:  Checking In (Creating Goals – How to plan to get the most out of your day today)
  • 1:45-2:45 pm:  Work Block 3
  • 2:45-3:00 pm:  Mental break / UM Student Raffle *
  • 3:00-4:00 pm:  Work Block  4
  • 4:00-4:15 pm:  Guided Mindfulness Practice – Body Scan
  • 4:15-4:30 pm:  Wrap-up – Q&A
