University of Michigan is excited to host this year’s Annual Global Surgery Conference with the theme of innovation providing you with outstanding educational opportunities. Learn from distinguished surgery and technology experts, hear about groundbreaking innovations and research, network with leaders and peers from around the globe, gain professional and clinical skills with our workshops and showcase, and end the night with the Global Surgery Gala to help raise charity funds.

We believe that health is a human right and that surgical care is a part of that right. Students are interested in joining the effort and have a lot to contribute to this field, but have not yet had the opportunity. Ultimately, whether you are interested in surgery/anesthesia/OBGyn, global/public health, economics/finance, policy, technology/engineering, education, statistics/research, or any combination of these, you have a very significant contribution to make to this growing field. And no matter how young or old you are, no matter how little or how much you can contribute, your involvement in global surgery is incredibly necessary and valuable to make a sustainable difference.
