CO-SPONSORED | Mark My Worth 2023 Annual Reproductive Health Symposium

March 25, 2023 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Michigan Union, Wolverine Room, 530 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48109

You’re invited to Mark My Worth 2023! Every year, WORTH (Women’s Organization on Rights to Health) holds a reproductive health symposium to showcase the work our organization has done and promote discussion about women’s health in the community. This year, we will be featuring guest speakers Danielle Atkinson and Lindsey Willow Smith, to hear them talk about their work and how it relates to reproductive justice.

Danielle Atkinson has extensive experience as a reproductive rights activist and is the founder of the reproductive justice advocacy organization Mothering Justice. Lindsey Willow Smith is an enrolled citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and a recent graduate of the University of Michigan. She is now employed at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian as a researcher for an upcoming exhibition on Jingle Dress dancing, a radical feminist tradition beginning in Ojibwe communities in the late 1910s that first permitted women to enter the center of the powwow circle.

Following their presentations, there will be a focus group fair where you will have the opportunity to learn about the projects that our organization members have been working on in our community for the past year. We hope that you will join us to learn more about important topics in reproductive justice and celebrate the accomplishments of our club!

Food and refreshments will be provided.
