Sandra received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Before joining CEW+, she worked for Michigan Medicine as a social work administrator and manager. Her clinical work focused on health care outcomes and addressing social determinants of health to minimize and address barriers to care. During her time at Michigan Medicine, she helped create strong teams of clinicians and patient advocates. She was instrumental in creating family-centered policies to address the diverse needs of health care consumers and their loved ones. She has presented at national conferences on topics that speak to issues of social justice, equitable access, and addressing systemic issues.
